Bidwells Garage has a long history in Ashdon. We have been selling petrol since 1958. The car repair service started in 1971 when Eric Bidwell took over from his parents , having worked at Cleales in Saffron Walden. His wife Joy ran a shop along side the garage and many locals remember coming in to choose their sweets there.
The last drop of petrol was sold on Wednesday 31st October 2007 to Mr Ron Moore , from Castle Camps, who had been using the garage for 36 years. One of our older petrol pubs can now be seen at the Ashdon Museum.
We specialise in low road tax and low insurance cars and offer a good range of small family cars. We make sure all our used cars have had a full service and have a MOT , plus we are always here to offer friendly advice. So please feel free to come in and see us!
